After its establishment in 1922, ‘Zaklady Metalowe MESKO’ specialised in the manufacture of munitions for the Polish armed forces. Following years of operation, their engineering prowess created an opportunity for them to branch out into industrial lighting which required the same exacting safety, reliability and performance standards. By the Cold War era when these lights were created, the company had become known as a major industrial lighting manufacturer within the Eastern Bloc.

These lights were salvaged from a decommissioned appliance factory in Gdansk where their large Fresnel lens allowed the illumination of expansive areas. They have undergone a full restoration by local experts and have been tastefully finished in their original stove enamel paint to ensure their original aesthetic is maintained. Each light is characterised by a rectangular steel junction box sitting atop an impressive re-enamelled steel enclosure, interesting latticework cage and original stamped identification plate with makers mark and serial number.

Each light arrives complete with its original restored lamp holder with E27 socket, two metres of black cable, two metres of steel chain and a ceiling mounting plate. Complete and ready to hang.
